Although physical education is considered to be beneficial for attention deficit disorder students in general, the therapeutic role of physical education models based on red sports culture optimization for this group has not been extensively studied. Therefore, it is important to further explore the physical education model optimized by red sports culture for the therapeutic effect of students with attention deficit disorder.

The study first let a proportion of participants receive the physical education model intervention under red sports culture optimization. The intervention includes the following aspects, individualized exercise program selection, individual guidance and coaching, focus training, emotion regulation skills, etc. The intervention can be conducted through classroom teaching, group activities, individual instruction, and other forms. Control participants received the traditional physical education mode, and the data were analyzed using 3D-CAM during the experiment.

The analysis found that the participants had different degrees of improvement in their attentional control, motor coordination and emotional regulation after receiving the physical education model intervention under the red sports culture optimization. Meanwhile, the results showed that 84.3% of attention deficit disorder students improved their social skills.

This study provides guidance and reference for improving and optimizing the physical education model to better meet the needs of students with attention deficit disorder. The findings will provide practical application value to educators, medical professionals and parents to help them better support and promote the development and adaptability of students with attention deficit disorder

As an essential direction of higher education reform, curriculum thinking and politics aims to guide and shape students’ thoughts and behaviors in their daily study and life through curriculum content and educational methods. As a common psychological disorder, bipolar disorder (BD) has an essential influence on the research and life of college students. This study explores the effect of ideological and political integration in guiding students with bipolar disorder.

The study employed a random selection process to choose a cohort of 500 college students, among whom 50 had been diagnosed with bipolar disorder. The research employed a combination of questionnaires, in-depth interviews, and psychological tests while assessing the patients’ condition using the Hamilton Depression Scale (HAMD). The collected data were subsequently analyzed using SPSS 24.0.

The study found that the student management mode of ideological and political integration can effectively improve the psychological adaptability of students with bipolar disorder. 75% of the students with bipolar disorder said that their emotional fluctuations are reduced, and their learning motivation and concentration are improved under this management mode. In addition, this management style also enhances their recognition and acceptance of social and school norms.

The integration of ideological and political education in curriculum management has a positive guiding effect on students with bipolar disorder, which can help them better adapt to school life and improve their academic and mental health levels. It is recommended that universities further strengthen the research and application of this management method to serve the majority of students better.

OCD is common among kindergarten teachers, and environmental space design is considered an intervention measure that can have a positive impact on OCD patients. The aim of this study is to explore the intervention effect of kindergarten environmental space design on preschool teachers with obsessive-compulsive disorder.

The study selected classrooms of preschool teachers with OCD in several kindergartens as the research subjects and divided them into an experimental group and a control group. The classrooms in the experimental group underwent interventions in environmental space design. The control group’s classroom was arranged in a conventional manner. The study collected OCD scores and mental health questionnaire survey data from preschool teachers with OCD as research indicators and used SPSS22.0 statistical software for data processing and analysis.

In the experimental results, the OCD scores of preschool teacher patients in the experimental group were significantly reduced. The OCD score of preschool teacher patients in the experimental group decreased from the initial 32.6 to 24.1, while the OCD score of preschool teacher patients in the control group decreased from the initial 31.9 to 30.5.

The research results indicate that the design of kindergarten environmental space has a positive intervention effect on OCD preschool teacher patients. By providing comfortable seating and soothing colors, and providing natural lighting, environmental design measures can significantly reduce the OCD score of preschool teachers’ patients, which can help improve their mental health status.

Although mania is the hallmark symptom of bipolar I disorder (BD-I), most patients initially present for treatment with depressive symptoms. Misdiagnosis of BD-I as major depressive disorder (MDD) is common, potentially resulting in poor outcomes and inappropriate antidepressant monotherapy treatment. Screening patients with depressive symptoms is a practical strategy to help healthcare providers (HCPs) identify when additional assessment for BD-I is warranted. The new 6-item Rapid Mood Screener (RMS) is a pragmatic patient-reported BD-I screening tool that relies on easily understood terminology to screen for manic symptoms and other BD-I features in <2 minutes. The RMS was validated in an observational study in patients with clinically confirmed BD-I (n=67) or MDD (n=72). When 4 or more items were endorsed (“yes”), the sensitivity of the RMS for identifying patients with BP-I was 0.88 and specificity was 0.80; positive and negative predictive values were 0.80 and 0.88, respectively. To more thoroughly understand screening tool use among HCPs, a 10-minute survey was conducted.

A nationwide sample of HCPs (N=200) was selected using multiple HCP panels; HCPs were asked to describe their opinions/current use of screening tools, assess the RMS, and evaluate the RMS versus the widely recognized Mood Disorder Questionnaire (MDQ). Results were reported by grouped specialties (primary care physicians, general nurse practitioners [NPs]/physician assistants [PAs], psychiatrists, and psychiatric NPs/PAs). Included HCPs were in practice <30 years, spent at least 75% of their time in clinical practice, saw at least 10 patients with depression per month, and diagnosed MDD or BD in at least 1 patient per month. Findings were reported using descriptive statistics; statistical significance was reported at the 95% confidence interval.

Among HCPs, 82% used a tool to screen for MDD, while 32% used a tool for BD. Screening tool attributes considered to be of the greatest value included sensitivity (68%), easy to answer questions (66%), specificity (65%), confidence in results (64%), and practicality (62%). Of HCPs familiar with screening tools, 70% thought the RMS was at least somewhat better than other screening tools. Most HCPs were aware of the MDQ (85%), but only 29% reported current use. Most HCPs (81%) preferred the RMS to the MDQ, and the RMS significantly outperformed the MDQ across valued attributes; 76% reported that they were likely to use the RMS to screen new patients with depressive symptoms. A total of 84% said the RMS would have a positive impact on their practice, with 46% saying they would screen more patients for bipolar disorder.

The RMS was viewed positively by HCPs who participated in a brief survey. A large percentage of respondents preferred the RMS over the MDQ and indicated that they would use it in their practice. Collectively, responses indicated that the RMS is likely to have a positive impact on screening behavior.

Repetitive deep transcranial magnetic stimulation (dTMS) is efficacious for treatment resistant major depressive disorder (TRD) with the H1 coil by stimulating the prefrontal cortex, left more than right, at high frequency. Theoretically, the efficacy of dTMS could be optimized by simultaneously stimulating the right and left lateral prefrontal cortices (PFC) with different frequencies. This study tested the efficacy of a novel dual-channel dTMS stimulator with dual dTMS coils, in patients with TRD.

This study recruited forty-seven outpatients diagnosed with TRD, age 18-65, Hamilton Depression Rating Scale (HDRS-21) score ≥25. Each patient received 20 open label treatment sessions, five days a week for 4 consecutive weeks. Treatments were administered with the dual-channel stimulator (Brainsway Multiway dTMS device) using two channels: a. 10 Hz over the left PFC. b. 1 Hz over the right PFC. Primary and secondary efficacy outcome measures were the change in HDRS-21 score and response/remission rates at week 5, respectively.

The HDRS-21 score decreased from an average of 25.94 to 14.69 (P<0.001). Thirty-six patients completed four weeks of treatment. Of them, seventeen (47%) responded (HDRS-21 score decrease of ≥ 50% from their initial score) and eight (22%) remitted (HDRS-21 score of < 10 at the end of the study).

This open study shows promising results for multichannel simultaneous dTMS treatment of TRD using the Brainsway Multiway Device. Further randomized controlled studies are necessary to aid the high number of patients with TRD.

Tardive dyskinesia (TD) is an involuntary movement disorder that can result from exposure to dopamine-receptor antagonists (DRAs). Deutetrabenazine demonstrated significant improvements in Abnormal Involuntary Movement Scale (AIMS) scores in the 12-week pivotal trials (ARM-TD/AIM-TD). This post hoc analysis assessed the long-term efficacy and safety of deutetrabenazine by baseline DRA use.

Patients who completed ARM-TD or AIM-TD enrolled in the 3-year, open-label extension (OLE) study, with deutetrabenazine dose titrated based on dyskinesia control and tolerability. Change from baseline in total motor AIMS score, Patient Global Impression of Change (PGIC), Clinical Global Impression of Change (CGIC), and adverse event (AE) rates were analyzed in subgroups by baseline DRA use.

Of 337 patients in the OLE study, 254 were taking DRAs at baseline (mean age, 56 years; 48% male; 6.0 years since diagnosis) and 83 were not (mean age, 60 years; 31% male; 4.9 years since diagnosis). Mean ± SE dose at week 145 was 39.9 ± 1.0 mg/day in patients taking DRAs (n = 108) and 38.5 ± 1.5 mg/day in patients not taking DRAs (n = 53). At week 145, mean ± SE change from baseline in AIMS score was −6.1 ± 0.43 and −7.5 ± 0.71; 64% and 62% achieved PGIC treatment success; and 69% and 81% achieved CGIC treatment success, respectively. Overall AE incidence was low (exposure-adjusted incidence rates [incidence/patient-years]: any, 1.08 and 1.97; serious, 0.10 and 0.12; leading to discontinuation, 0.06 and 0.05).

This analysis suggests that deutetrabenazine for long-term treatment of TD is beneficial, with a favorable safety profile, regardless of concomitant DRA use.

Bipolar depression is an important part of college students’ mental health problems. As an important part of the school curriculum system, the improvement of its teaching methods and contents has an important impact on students’ mental health. From the perspective of educational psychology, the integration of curriculum ideology and politics with college physical education is expected to play an important role in the relief of bipolar depression.

The experiment selected 50 college students in a physical education course as the research object, half of them as the experimental group, received the physical education course treatment under the mode of educational psychology for half a year, and the other half as the control group, received the physical education course treatment with the ideological and political integration of educational psychology course for half a year. After the course, the Stanford Acute Stress Response Questionnaire (SASRQ) was used for feedback. The higher the score, the more serious the bipolar depression was.

The students in the experimental group had a more positive attitude, and their physical exercise was also strengthened, with a low feedback score of about 8. In the control group, the remission effect of bipolar depression was not obvious, the learning enthusiasm was not high, and the feedback score was 15 points.

The integration of educational psychology curriculum thinking and politics in college physical education teaching has a positive effect on the alleviation of students’ depression and also provides an important reference for the improvement of college physical education teaching.

1. To assess the effectiveness, functionality and tolerability of Aripiprazole long-acting injectable (ALAI) in patients with stable schizophrenia

2. Compare hospitalizations and emergency assists during 18-month period before (retrospective period) and after (prospective period) switch to ALAI

The study sample involved 18 patients with stable schizophrenia (DSM 5 criteria) who started treatment with ALAI between January-December 2016.

Variables: age, gender, psychopharmacological treatment.

- Follow-up study: Prospective assessments were performed at baseline and at 3, 6, 9, 12, 15 and 18 months:

∙ Brief Psychiatric rating Scale (BPRS)

∙ Global Clinical Impression Scale (ICG-SI)

∙ Personal and social Performance (PSP)

The study was performed in accordance with the Declaration of Helsinki and all the participants provided written consent for participation.

Student’s t-test and Chi-square test were used to assess differences between baseline evaluation and subsequent visits. For mirror-image analysis test Z and MacNemar was used.

a) Efficacy and functionality: At the end of the study we observed:

∙ A statistically significant: reduction in the total score of ICG-SI, and increase in the total score of PSP

∙ A reduction in the total score of BPRS.

There is an indirect correlation between age and changes in the score on: BPRS and ICG-SI (p<0.05) and PSP scale (p<0.05)

b) Tolerability: The most frequent side effect with an incidence of 22% was transient mild insomnia

c) Psychopharmacological treatment: The percentage of patients on monotherapy increased from 39.6% baseline to 66.6%, and treatment with Biperidene decreased from 27.5% to 5.5% at the end of the study

d) Number of hospitalizations and emergency assist:

∙ 12 hospital admission during 18-month period before switch to ALI, and 3 hospital admission 18-month after switch

∙ 24 emergency assist during 18-month period before switch to ALI, and 7 emergency assist 18-month afterswitch

e) Treatment compliance: shown in Table 1.

ALAI can be effective therapy for the treatment of patients with schizophrenia: improves psychopathological symptoms, functionality and can prevent hospitalizations and emergency visits. In addition, ALAI is well tolerated, achieving a high percentage of patients in monotherapy.
