New Approaches to Asian History publishes books for undergraduates and general readers by well-known scholars in the field. The books offer accessible and concise introductions to the milestones in Asian history, those events that have come to define particular periods or that have marked turning-points in the cultural and social evolution of the region. Some books will cover specific events or periods, while others will consider particular topics. Topics address the region as a whole, while specific events or periods focus on a particular country.
