In this paper, we study the properties of
$k$-plurisubharmonic functions defined on domains in 
${ \mathbb{C} }^{n} $. By the monotonicity formula, we give an alternative proof of the weak continuity of complex 
$k$-Hessian operators with respect to local uniform convergence.
