A module is called unit-endoregular if its endomorphism ring is unit-regular. In this paper, we continue the research in unit-endoregular modules. More characterizations of unit-endoregular modules are obtained. As a special case, we show that for an abelian group G, Endℤ(G) is a unit-regular Baer ring if and only if Endℤ(G) is a two-sided extending regular ring. While the class of unit-endoregular modules is not closed under direct sums, we provide a characterization when there are direct sums of two or more unit-endoregular modules also unit-endoregular under certain conditions. In particular, we investigate unit-endoregular modules which are direct sums of indecomposable modules.

We show that every subset of vertices of a directed graph $E$ gives a Morita equivalence between a subalgebra and an ideal of the associated Leavitt path algebra. We use this observation to prove an algebraic version of a theorem of Crisp and Gow: certain subgraphs of $E$ can be contracted to a new graph $G$ such that the Leavitt path algebras of $E$ and $G$ are Morita equivalent. We provide examples to illustrate how desingularising a graph, and in- or out-delaying of a graph, all fit into this setting.

In Hazrat gave a K-theoretic invariant for Leavitt path algebras as graded algebras. Hazrat conjectured that this invariant classifies Leavitt path algebras up to graded isomorphism, and proved the conjecture in some cases. In this paper, we prove that a weak version of the conjecture holds for all finite essential graphs.

The stable rank of Leavitt path algebras of row-finite graphs was computed by Ara and Pardo. In this paper we extend this to an arbitrary directed graph. In part our computation proceeds as for the row-finite case, but we also use knowledge of the row-finite setting by applying the desingularising method due to Drinen and Tomforde. In particular, we characterise purely infinite simple quotients of a Leavitt path algebra.

A module M is said to satisfy the condition (℘*) if M is a direct sum of a projective module and a quasi-continuous module. In an earlier paper, we described the structure of rings over which every (countably generated) right module satisfies (℘*), and it was shown that such a ring is right artinian. In this note some additional properties of these rings are obtained. Among other results, we show that a ring over which all right modules satisfy (℘*) is also left artinian, but the property (℘*) is not left-right symmetric.

A semiprime segment of a ring R is a pair P2 ⊂ P1 of semiprime ideals of R such that ∩ In ⊆ P2 for all ideals I of R with P2 ⊂ I ⊂ P1. In this paper semiprime segments with P1 a comparizer ideal are classified as either simple, exceptional, or archimedean, extending to several classes of rings a classification known for right chain rings. These three types of semiprime segments are also characterized in terms of the pseudo-radical.

It is shown that, over any ring R, the direct sum M = ⊕i∈IMi of uniform right R-modules Mi with local endomorphism rings is a CS-module if and only if every uniform submodule of M is essential in a direct summand of M and there does not exist an infinite sequence of non-isomorphic monomorphisms , with distinct in ∈ I. As a consequence, any CS-module which is a direct sum of submodules with local endomorphism rings has the exchange property.

Let R be any ring with identity, M a unital right R-module and α ≥ 0 an ordinal. Then M is a direct sum of a semisimple module and a module having Krull dimension at most α if and only if for every submodule N of M there exists a direct summand K of M such that K ⊆ N and N/K has Krull dimension at most α.
