Morton Eden, Hugh Elliot 1779–1789

Morton Eden was the youngest son of Sir Robert Eden, baronet, of West Auckland, Co. Durham, and a brother of that distinguished statesman William Eden, first Lord Auckland. Before coming to Copenhagen at the end of March 1779 he had served at Munich and Ratisbon.
