Remembering David French
David French (1933-2017) was one of the leading archaeologists of his generation. As the longest serving director of the British Institute at Ankara (1968-1994), and the excavator of sites such as Can Hasan, Aşvan Kale, and Tille Höyük, David pioneered new approaches and revolutionised our understanding of Anatolian archaeology. This collection of articles showcases the breadth and range of his scholarly activity, and complements the open access publication in commemoration of his life.
