Lease of V. Ho. for 40 yrs at 4£ Conf. by ABP 1671 Entry B. III. 68. The Advowson was granted by the Crown to the ABP in Exchange 31 Aug. 1 Ed. 6. See Chart Misc. vol 13. N° 21. This must have been in part a Confirmation of the former Grant. See above here.
Income 1749 Yearly Tithe of Houses 250-13-4. Rent of Glebe Houses 60£ Surplice Fees 40£ In all 350-13-4. Deduct Curates fixed Stipend. 30£ to Curate for 50 sermons at 10-6. 26-5-0 Taxes, Repairs, Short paymls 80£. In all 136-5- 0. Remains 244-8-4. Dr Geekie will deduct more for the last Articles 14-8-4 & take 230£.
ADn Heads Acct 1767. Tithes of Houses, if full 273-10-0. Three Glebe Houses 61-16-0. Surplices Fees abt 40£. In all 375-6-0. Also 4£ for 6 yearly Sermons. Deduct fee Farm Rent to Ld Harcourt 13-13-4. & Kings Tax for the 3 Houses.
The Curate is Lecturer & saith his Income as above & from Lecture is 80£.
