Summary
It is explained why monotheist philosophers of religion developed so many different apologetic strategies. These strategies are classified by a ‘Decision Tree for Religious Believers’, and the best contemporary instances of strategies such as voluntarism, confidentialism, and involvement evidentialism are critically examined.
