Summary

In the bibliography that follows, I list the commentaries on Matthew that I consulted. These are occasionally referenced in the footnotes as well. Following the commentaries, I list a number of books that I consulted. Most of these are monographs or collections of studies devoted to the Gospel of Matthew. Finally, I list a selected number of shorter studies concerned with Matthew. Other books and studies, not included here, appear in the footnotes. I have placed asterisks beside commentaries and other works that I think students and clergy will find especially helpful.
