The fee of Gant appears to have been held, like Fen-Stanton, co. Huntingdon, by Roland de Dinant and descended to Agnes de la Roche. After her death it was given to Stephen de Segrave by Henry III; Quo War. 103.
Hugh de Fendreiton acknowledges that 2 v. in Fendreiton are the right of John Giffard, who grants the land to Hugh for 1m. yearly rent; Camb. Fines (Rec. Com.), 301.
