ART PUB
Art's Bar – a tavern
That serves pizza and beer
With a furbishing of crimson, yellow and gold.
It has a hold on clients that
Bustle like bees and clamor
Of people having a good time.
Behind the door that says
Employees only
Is a world of clinking spoons
And clanging pots.
On this side of the door
I see wrinkled faces like crinkled fries
Along with those who are
Absent of those lines that
Reflect time.
That's Art's Bar – a tavern
That serves pizza and beer
CITY LIFE
We live in a jungle of concrete and steel
Malls that display
What we want, what we think.
But,
No place to sit without the
Sounds of calamity and strife.
Too much investment in the hustle
With no gain in return
Preoccupied with tensions and worries
Of what tomorrow may bring.
It has taken from us,
The precious element of time
That rare gem that takes a
Lifetime to find.
