Summary

The concluding chapter of this study brings together the central arguments which have been made over the course of the book and asks what broader relevance they have for our understanding of key concepts including memory, forgetting, commemoration, empire, and anxiety before going on to consider future lines of study which will add to our understanding of the role of commemoration in colonial and postcolonial settings.
