JHET Editorial Transition: Steve Medema's term as editor of JHET ends July 1, 2008, and the last issue for which he is responsible is December 2008. The new editorial team of Marcel Boumans and Evelyn Forget will begin to receive manuscripts and books for review on 1 July 2008, and will produce a first issue in March 2009. Effective July 1, new submissions and submissions of revised manuscripts should be sent to the editors via email at . Books for review should be sent to Evelyn Forget, Editor, Journal of the History of Economic Thought, Community Health Sciences, Faculty of Medicine, University of Manitoba, 750 Bannatyne Ave, Winnipeg MB, R3E 0W3, CANADA

There will be manuscripts in process as the editorial transition takes place. We would like to assure readers and authors that we will do everything we can to ensure that the transition occurs smoothly and, in particular, that manuscripts in process are dealt with consistently and efficiently. Articles and book reviews that have been accepted but not yet published by July 1 will be in the publication queue, currently about a year long, and will appear in due course. Manuscripts returned for revision will go back to the same referees when resubmitted.

HES History of Economics Working Papers on SSRN: The HES and the Social Science Research Network (SSRN) are pleased to announce the publication of History of Economics Abstracts (an email abstracting journal distributed by the Economics Research Network of the Social Sciences Research Network), which promotes communication among scholars interested in all aspects of the history of economic thought. Abstracts of both working papers and accepted papers are published. Kevin Hoover, Professor of Economics and Philosophy at Duke University is serving as editor. Work related to all periods and to any schools of economic thought are welcome, as is work that situates economics in wider intellectual and cultural contexts or relates it to other disciplines. Work related to the history of closely cognate disciplines (e.g., statistics with economic applications or economic sociology) is also accepted. Essentially, any work that touches the history of economics as a discipline or that would be of interest to scholars working in such an area is encouraged. To submit your research to SSRN, log in to the SSRN User HeadQuarters, http://hq.ssrn.com, and click on the My Papers link on the left menu, and then click on Start New Submission at the top of the page.
