Abbreviations of ancient authors and texts are taken from LSJ and OLD. In some cases these abbreviations have been extended. For instance, I use Epist. and Epod. for Horace’s Epistles and Epodes rather than Ep. and Epod. as the OLD does. Abbreviations for journals follow the conventions of L’Année philologique.
