Main Features : The American University of Beirut is offering a summer session in Arabic and area studies from July 9 to Sept.l, 1973. No fellowships are offered for the summer students.

Courses : History of the Arabs from 750 to 861 A.D. (in Arabic); History of the Arabs from 861 to 1258 A.D. (in Arabic); History of the Arab East 1798–1939; History of North Africa 1800–1939; Graduate Tutorial in Arab and Near Eastern History; History of Islamic Political Thought; Modern Islamic Political Institutions.
