1. While the most recent book-length treatment of Elgin’s ideas was published a few months after Tapestry, meaning I could hardly fault Elliott for not including it, these ideas have been present in other forms for many years.
2. While broadly agreeing with the tapestry metaphor, I have some concerns with point 2.
