A Hierarchy of Stressors

It is established that healthy individuals and schizophrenics respond in different ways if subjected to stressors (“alarming stimuli”) under seemingly identical conditions. It is also common knowledge that healthy individuals react differently under the impact of “alarming stimuli” than individuals already under stress, i.e. for instance, suffering from certain psychosomatic manifestations.
