Extract

page 145 note 2 Since sending in this paper, the authors have seen a paper by Pfeiffer and Blanok, Landw. Versuchs. Stat. LXXVIII. Working on the nitrogen content of an experimental field, they obtained a field error of 2·5 per cent. This was, however, over a small area and the result is scarcely of service for survey purposes.

page 148 note 1 In mechanical analyses this error will be much greater if the temperature of sedimentation is not constant, owing to viscosity changes.
