We’re delighted to announce that all articles accepted for publication in the Japanese Journal of Political Science from October 4th 2024 will be ‘open access’ (published with a Creative Commons licence and freely available to read online).

We have an OA option for every author: the cost of open access publication will be waived entirely for authors who cannot cover this cost through agreements between the publisher and the author’s institution, or via APCs for those with third-party funding designated for the purpose.

The Japanese Journal of Political Science is a peer-reviewed journal that publishes original theoretical and empirically tested political science research.  Manuscripts across the full range of sub-fields and research methodologies are welcome for consideration. We are open to single country or comparative studies, and particularly encourage those manuscripts that draw on interdisciplinary approaches to political science questions.
