Tratamiento antihormonal de pacientes parafílicos en clínicas psiquiátricas forenses alemanas

Resumen

El propósito de este estudio era investigar qué estrategias de tratamiento antihormonal se utilizan en las instituciones psiquiátricas forenses alemanas. Se preguntó a las clínicas forenses por el número de pacientes tratados. Cuatrocientos setenta y cuatro pacientes estaban internados por delitos sexuales; el 12% recibía CPA (n = 29) o agonistas de la luliberina (n = 29). Las diferencias en eficacia eran pequeñas. Varios efectos secundarios confirman la importancia de un protocolo para minimizar las complicaciones médicas.
