A Short Method for Making Balsam Mounts of Aphids and Scale Insects

Abstract

An abbreviated method for making balsam mounts is described. It uses the known rapid-clearing properties of phenolic solutions and eliminates the necessity of dehydration in various strengths of alcohol.
