Summary
Chapter 5 expands on operations in Transcaucasia, mainly in Armenia and on behalf of Armenians. It focuses on the role of the American Relief Administration and of the Allies' high commissioner, William Haskell. The chapter reveals the tensions between the colonel and "his" soldiers and the NER.
