Summary
This section introduced the concepts of paradoxes and contradictions, reviewing ancient and classical examples (Chapter 1). It also covered the concepts of embracing contradictions, conceptual blending, paradoxical and Janusian thinking, and the associated constructive tension (Chapter 2). Finally, it presented methods for evaluating the impact of paradoxical thinking on individuals and their propensity for embracing contradictions (Chapter 3). The conclusion reached at the end of Chapter 3 highlights that there is still a need to expand the research to a larger, multicultural sample.
