The greatest work by Correggio, which is the height of three men, is likewise a seated Madonna with several saints and a bishop in a sumptuous vestment, and is painted on canvas, just like a another Madonna of the same size with an Evangelist and a Saint Francis at her side, with a nun next to each of them. They are in his earliest style, which is in the style of Andrea Mantegna.
