Summary
Behavioural therapeutics are core components of CBT when applied to insomnia. This chapter outlines the scientific rationale and evidence for both stimulus control therapy and sleep restriction therapy, both of which are highly effective. It also provides detailed step-by-step instruction to clinicians on how to deliver these effective therapeutics to patients and provides tips and tools to use to aid patients in implementing these often challenging therapeutics.
