Summary
Giuliano Passaro’s diaries on the city of Naples revealed: “[O]n the last day of March 1496, Holy Thursday, 50 squadrons of cavalry accompanied King Ferrante to Apulia. But while expelling the French, people screamed loudly: ‘France, France’ in an act of rebellion against the king. Hearing this, King Ferrante of Aragon and his ally Prospero Colonna took the castle by force.”3
