I. PUBLICATIONS OF DOCUMENTS RELATING TO THE UNIVERSITY OF CAMBRIDGE COMPILED FROM THE CENTRAL RECORDS, TRANSCRIPTS OR PRINTED SOURCES (1785–1912)

[The following are the sources most frequently used:

(1) MSS. Hare, in the university archives. These transcripts, presented to the university in 1587 by Robert Hare, were compiled from both the central records and the university charters.

(2) MSS. Baker vols. 1–23 in the British Museum, and vols. 24–42 and A–D in the university library.

(3) The Parker Collection in Corpus Christi College, Cambridge.

(4) The printed Statuta of 1785 (see below).

(5) Acts of Parliament.]
