This appendix gives the yearly wage material used in chapter 1. Mean (x) wages (in £ per annum) are given for five year periods, with the number of wage citings (N.) in each period. The data graphically presented in chapter 1 is a three point moving average of these five year means, with the moving average indexed from 1741 to 1745. The aggregates in chapter 1 of south-eastern and western yearly wages were unweighted. Other details can be found in chapter 1.1 intend to provide comparable wage material for the northern counties in a later publication.
