Ngizwa izinsimbi zincencetha.
Lezo zinsimbi ngizizwe ngimncane,
Zikhula zingiphekezela
Phansi ezilubeni zolwandle,
Ziqubula kunyazim’ amaza,
Zingiguqukele sezicula.
Ukucula kuye kunkenkethe
Phakath’ emongweni wenhliziyo.
Lezi zinsimbi zikhala phezu
Kwamazala namalib’ akwethu.
Kwethu bekundind’ uZul’ ebuka,
Ebukana nomtat’ ucwebile,
Uyakazel’ amanz’ aluhlaza,
Uhlaz’ olwang’ imamba yemithi
Engiyibone ngaqhaqhazela,
Ngathi ngihlomile kanti ngize.
Ngibalekile ngacasha nhlanye,
Ngabon’ umhlaba usimbuka wonke.
Kwath’ esikhundleni sokushaywa,
Kushaywana namahaw’ enkomo,
Ngezwa nina zinsimbi zomLungu,
Enikhale ngaqale nganengwa,
Nganengwa kwafuquza nolaka,
Ngagcwal’ umusi ngaze ngabohla,
Ngabohla ngahlala phezu kwetshe.

Langibhec’ emhlane ngamalokwe,
Ngawathatha ngisaphukazela.
Ndabazemkhonto ngikushiyile,
Gudulokubhenywa ngakulahla.
Namhla ngingumngquphane womhlaba.
Nginanto yinye phansi kwelanga;
Amehlo nezindleb’ ezimbili;
Kokubili kufunz’ inhliziyo.
Lapho ngithi nginokucabanga,
Nomqond’ ohlaziy’ okubonwayo,

Zichith’ ubuntu bemvelo kimi.

Ngiyakubon’ ukujaja kwakho.
Ngihlekwa nayizindonga zakho,
Zisukum’ emhlabathini, Zulu,
Zimi phezu kokuhlakanipha
Kwendumo yolwandle namathongo
Okuthiw’ aphethe konk’ ukwazi.
Khalani zinsimbi kusemnandi!
Ngizwa izwi lenu libubula,
Libik’ umhlab’ osuguqukile.
Lingikhumbuza ngenkaba yami,
Lingikhumbuza lapho ngiqome

Ngakuqoma njengoShampeyana
Ephehl’ umLungu njengobulawu;
Ngakuqoma njengoLuthuli
Ekhanyis’ iLanga kwabamnyama;
Ngakuqoma njengomfo kaSamvu
Egogod’ ubunyanga bomLungu.
Khalani zinsimbi zabeLungu!
Sebevukil’ oMafukuzela,
Bancinz’ umqondo womunt’ omnyana.

Kwemizizi yethunzi lomLungu.
Khalani! Kungani zinsimbi!
