Summary

The eighth chapter turns to the perspective of Muslim Americans themselves. It examines how much discrimination they perceive, whether this changes how they behave politically, and what their anxieties are for the future. Specifically, the chapter finds that Muslim Americans are aware of such discrimination. It also identifies the factors that make them anxious and fearful for future catastrophic events.
