Sir
I had the honour of yours with Mr: Hansbies, and find by both our Bussiness hath been at Stand: and the Miscarage of letters the cause, three hath been sent about it that I now perceive never came to Mr: Hansbies hand: if you find the security good, we determin to continue the Money in the same Famely; if Mrs Attmoors is added to the Capitall of the Bond upon a perpetual rent; we propose to joyn as much of the Arrears as will Make it up a 1000 pound, provided, as is said, you have security to your likeing; and Method taken that the Income be regularly paid up every halfe year: Mr: Hansbie statted the accounts of our House some years and thorowly understands our affairs if you pleas Sir to speak to him; he will Make it clear to you about the Arrears. I have writ to him and repeat hear again nothing hath been paid since March 1715; but 100 pound in the year 1720: and 20 pound in the year 1725. Deducting this 120; theres 14 years (at 40 a year) due next March 1728; it hath been a great damage to us to want this Rent so long; and I do assure you as Mr: Hansbie can testifie, wee was forc'd to suply ourselves with our Capitall here in place of it.
