The CGIAR Research Program on Climate Change, Agriculture and Food Security (CCAFS) was led by the International Center for Tropical Agriculture (CIAT), part of the Alliance of Bioversity International and CIAT, and carried out with support from the CGIAR Trust Fund and through bilateral funding agreements. For more information, please visit https://ccafs.cgiar.org/donors. The CCAFS research on scaling plant-based proteins in low- and middle-income countries (Chapter 9) was co-funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and CCAFS in partnership with Impossible Foods, International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis, and Limestone Analytics. This work builds on past projects supported by the Asian Development Bank on sustainable protein. The CCAFS work in Madhya Pradesh (Chapter 13), working with women-led groups, is co-funded by USAID and CCAFS as part of a project to scale out CSA through the climate-smart village (CSV) approach in India. It is implemented by CCAFS, the BAIF Development Research Foundation, and farmers’ groups in the Betul district of Madhya Pradesh. The editors would like to thank the copyeditors for their hard work on the project: Stephanie Pentz, Lindsay Hartley-Backhouse, Megan Mayzelle, and Matthew Seal.
