In the review of Lawrence Kominz's book Mishima on Stage: The Black Lizard and Other Plays, JAS 69[1] 260–63, the reviewer made reference to a figure, easily mistaken for a swastika, on the back cover of Hiroaki Sato's My Friend Hitler and other Plays of Yukio Mishima (New York: Columbia University Press, 2002). Readers should be aware that it is the book publisher rather than the author who usually has final say in cover design.
