The above articleReference Leblanc1 published with incorrect information regarding the creation of the Department of Neurology and Neurosurgery at McGill University in the first sentences of the English and French abstracts.

The first sentence of the English abstract should read “This paper reviews the history of neurology and neurosurgery at McGill University from their origins within the Departments of Medicine and of Surgery at the Royal Victoria Hospital in 1894, to Penfield’s arrival in 1928 and the creation of an autonomous Department of Neurology and Neurosurgery in 1930.” Additionally, the first sentence of the French abstract should read “Cet article entend passer en revue l’histoire de la neurologie et de la neurochirurgie à l’Université McGill, et ce, depuis leur origines au sein des départements de médecine et de chirurgie de l’hôpital Royal Victoria en 1894 jusqu’à l’arrivée du docteur Wilder Penfield en 1928 et à la création d’un département autonome de neurologie et de neurochirurgie en 1930.”
