With this issue, the Art libraries journal, which celebrates its 45th anniversary this year, has a new principal editor. I look forward to working with my fellow editors Kraig Binkowski and Mike Wirtz to continue to support our community in these challenging and difficult times, and to serve as a place for communication and exchange for all involved or with an interest in the documentation of the visual arts and related fields.

I would like to thank Erica Foden-Lenahan for her inspired and generous leadership over the past eight years, as well as her predecessor Gillian Varley. Founding editor, Philip Pacey, set our mission to be the international voice of art librarianship, and we hope to carry on facilitating reflection, criticality and the sharing of ideas and practice internationally. For this, we need you: we want to include the broadest range of concerns, voices, experiences and backgrounds in this, your journal, particularly those that have been historically underrepresented or marginalised. We welcome your feedback and encourage your proposals, questions and submissions. Get in touch!
