Special Issue on The Post-Communist Far Right
Photo Taken by Dragana Svraka: The photo was taken on January 9, 2022 in Banja Luka, Bosnia and Herzegovina. January 9th is celebrated as the “Day of Republika Srpska” and is used by local political leaders to display symbols of Serbian ethnic nationalism. I took a walk around town and found this graffiti on a building: In red is a stenciled image of Ratko Mladić, but someone else has altered the image by writing “Peace Not War” over it.
