page 58 note 2 A version for oboe, 2 violins, viola and harpsichord was prepared by Heinz Holliger and his Ensemble and performed at the 1972 Salzburg Festival. (A recording of this performance, by Austrian Radio, has been relayed by various stations including the BBC.) Another version, for 2 pianos, was performed by Karl and Margaret Kohn at a Monday Evening Concert at the County Museum of Art in Los Angeles on 2 April 1973.
page 60 note 1 Schoenberg's Ein Stelldichein received its British premiere in the Hayward Gallery on 5 July 1973, as part of a concert by the Die Reihe Ensemble under their conductor Friedrich Cerha.
