Full orchestra of ‘classical’ dimensions, i.e., double woodwind to which a third flute is added, changing to piccolo; four horns, three trumpets, three trombones, tuba, kettle-drums; a passage in the first movement requires triangle and cymbals; and the customary strings. Estimated duration, 30 minutes.
