Although the majority of astronomers interpret the redshifts of quasars according to Hubble's law, there are isolated cases as well as detailed studies indicating that the redshifts of quasars and even some galaxies may have noncosmological components. The evidence discussed here will be on two counts: (i) the periodicities in redshift distributions, (ii) the associations between discrepant redshifts objects. In addition, theoretical constraints on physical models based on the cosmological hypothesis will be briefly mentioned.
