CCD transit telescopes are now determining star positions at faint magnitudes (i.e., down to V ∼ 17 mag) and with accuracies as good as ∼ ±150 mas. CCD parallaxes with errors ∼ ±1 mas are now being determined routinely in time periods less than 3 years.
