* At page 349 of vol. vii. of the Proceedings of the Society of Antiquaries of Scotland is a representation of a bronze Celtic mirror found at Balmaclellan, in Kirkcudbright, on which is a bead-work edging of a similar character to that which the photograph seemed to show of this head.
