The equations

where f1(t), f2(t)φ(t) are polynomials in t, determine a unicursal curve. If α and β can be found so that

then the point (α, β) is on the curve and is given by two values of t, t1 and t2, which are the roots of the equation at2 + 2bt + c =0.
