1 Just to complicate things, the publisher's blurb provides this description of Rosenblueth's theory : “Brain and mind function is parallel—on separate levels of reality that are in constant relation to each other but that do not interact.” But surely he did not advocate parallelism: the laws of physics would then have nothing to do with mental correlates of neurophysiological phenomena.
