Color Pattern Variation in Populations of Theodoxus Luteofasciatus in the Puerto Penasco Area

Abstract

Populations of the intertidal gastropod, Theodoxusluteofasciatus, exhibit spectacular variety in shell color and color pattern. Few significant differences in coloration occur among the individuals sampled from Bahia la Choya and Estero Morua. Furthermore, no obvious correlation exists between shell coloration and any observed environmental parameters.
