Spectral Response of Photoelectrochemical Cells Based on Nanocrystalline Semiconductor Films
Published online by Cambridge University Press: 28 February 2011
Abstract
Wide band-gap semiconductors such as TiO2, CdSe and CdS, forming the working electrode in photoelectrochemical cells, show quite different spectral responses depending on semiconductor morphology. On the basis of a theoretical model, which takes into account the collection of both majority and minority carriers, spectral responses have been simulated and compared with experimental data for both nanocrystalline and polycrystalline materials.
