The flow of an anodic current density of 0.5 mA. cm−2 through a 5 mmol/l solution of 2,5-di-(2-thienyl)pyrrole (SNS), in acetonitrile, gives dark-violet and uniform polymer films coating the platinum electrode in presence of different electrolytes. The process is named either electropolymerization or electrogeneration.
