Frederic Salmon Growse.—We regret to record the death of Mr. F. S. Growse, one of those Anglo-Indians who, both by learning and by sympathy, have left a name that will be remembered in the East. He died on Friday, May 19, at Haslemere, where he had taken up his abode only a year or two ago, on his retirement from active service.
