1 In all the copies, especially that of Ranke in the first part of vol. vi of the Babylonian Expedition of the University of Pennsylvania, the character resembles ṧir rather than dur. The variant of the city-name, Šir-a, implies that the true reading is Širwa. Can this be Umma (according to the received reading)? My latest collation of the syllabary giving the pronunciation of Giṧ-uḫ (generally read Umma), indicated the reading Širma or Širwa.
