Inflammatory ear disease and tinnitus

Tinnitus, in most instances, is a symptom of a disease process which defies clear identification. The multiplicity of sites of origin and the mechanisms of production are truly a diagnostic and therapeutic dilemma. The clinician can, however, easily recognize the classic presentation of acute and chronic inflammatory disease.
