as Vaglieri prints it. pΟΜΡΕΙi or pΟΜΡΕΙani is perhaps not impossible, as the name of a freedman (or descendant of a freedman) of Pompey's (though the inference would be uncertain in view of the frequency of the name). In 1. 2 I would suppose ΟRΥΡΙi to be an error for CRΥΡΗΙΙ the title of the second grade of Mithraic initiates being cryphius. But this is a mere conjecture.
